About Lisa

Lisa has experience training and riding many breeds, and disciplines. Starting out riding as a child that evolved to starting colts for the locals, and competing in Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Breakaway, Team Sorting & Extreme Cowboy racing. As her love to train continued to grow it took her to Texas working under Reining & Cutting horse trainers helping her develop her riding skills and understanding of what it took to ride and train each discipline. Working as an Equine Veterinary Assistant fueled her interest for helping prevent injuries, preserve soundess and heal horses as issues arise. Fast forward, she now studies Balanced Through Movement Method, western dressage, and straightness training. Her approach focuses on the safety and comfort of both horse and rider.

Her understanding and feel of the horse under saddle has been further developed by study of equine biomechanics, and rehabbing horses. Many rehabs were trainers that came to her with behavioral issues were actually injuries that were overlooked or missed. Her ability to help bring them back to soundness has helped owners & horses in many ways. She has a great team consisting of an equine vet, dentist & farrier to help these horses find comfort during her rehab process.

If anyone ever gets anything out of working with Lisa or reading the content she shares, she hopes it’s about how important it is to educate yourself. Be proactive. Don’t wait until the horse has reached his survival limits and finally shows lameness. WE are the horses advocates. It is our responsibility as horse owners to do the best by them that we can. Not just to get better performance out of them but to give them the best quality of life we can.
